Crissy Athorp, LMT, BCTMB, NASM-CPT & CES
I am licensed in the state of WI #11907-146 and Board Certified from the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.
My interest in pursing massage as a career started one day while I was giving my husband a back massage. He casually suggested I look into massage school. It peaked my interest and after a little research I found myself enrolled in school part-time. That became the official start to my love for massage therapy, and fascination with human anatomy and kinesiology. My training was completed over two years at Fox Valley School of Massage in Appleton, WI. The summer between classes I spent studying as a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In 2012 on a Friday the 13th (which also happened to be my birthday) I passed my national board examination to become a licensed massage therapist.
When I am not busy with massage, I enjoy spending my time with my family. My two young boys are always on the go. In any spare time, my hobbies include; Pinterest projects, scrapbooking, and running. The past 7 years since I’ve started running (jogging), I have completed 10 half marathons and two sprint distance triathlons. A full marathon and half Iron-man are on my bucket list.
